The Old Red Lumber Yard Junk Market

It was a early, early morning this past weekend when we headed out to McKinney for the Old Red Lumbar Yard Junk Market- but setting up the heat is not fun or smart.
So we hit the road and were greeted by this beautiful picture from God: How pretty were the skis that morning!?

We marked out territory with a last minute 'sign' strand of letters with our booth name- For last minute it's pretty darn cute if you ask me?!

Before the sun was beating down we had to scope out the other 'junk' and get first dibs on the good 'junk'.
Note to self: get there first thing in the morning (even as a buyer) everything is nicely set up, vendors are in a good mood, you get the first pick and if you live in Texas it's a good way to beat the heat!

Here are a few things that SOLD from the weekend:

This pair of mirrors- how cute? mirrors on the bottom and windows on the top? Adorable!
(Price was  $125 for the pair- what a lucky new owner!)

This old church window pain also sold.. red/green pattern. White peely paint and dar-ling old latches on either side!
(Price was $85- going to be the focal point in new owners office with red accents!)

These dar-ling white scrolls also sold!
(Price was $50 each- there are two more still available!)

How Cute are these napkins? Just the perfect touch for your sweet tea in the afternoon this summer!
(Price was $10 for a set of 5)

Here are some pictures from some of the other vendors:

Below: is Pocket Full of Heirlooms
Her things are always super cute and well decorated!
She even has a trailer for sale- its stinkin cute!

A favorite of mine is Vincent. He always has great 'junk'. Mostly iron, zinc and metals- nicely put together and always up for a good laugh!
(Not sure he has a website...)

FRINGE, THE EVENT is a new favorite!
They have everything from the junk yard goods (my favs) to refinished and high end estate treasures
.
The ladies that run this place are super sweet and know their 'junk'!

Vintage Blue who set up shop just next to us, was super sweet and had some really great treasures too.
Here are a few more shots from the lumber yard on a very hot Texas day:

And here we are: calling it a day at 2pm. The breeze had died down completely, not a cloud in the sky and the rush of the crowd had passed as well.. Thank God for strong boys willing to help us load the truck (who will do almost everything for a sandwich!) and for pick up trucks!

Since we were already on the McKinney Square, we had to make a stop at our Favorite Antique Mall.. Which is air-conditioned and indoors... while I was browsing for treasure, here is where I found my partner in crime:

Never a dull moment!

What a great weekend- things were sold, junking friends were made and we survived the heat!
Until the next sale- Junk on friends!
